Bylaws & Permits

Do you want to remove a tree on your property? Most cities and towns have strict tree removal bylaws that apply to trees on private, municipal and/or ravine property. You may need an Arborist report to apply for a building permit. A Tree Preservation Plan and replacement planting plan may also be necessary.

Our service includes all the documents you need to apply for the compulsory permit(s) as per the specific requirements laid out in the bylaw.

Our policy of using low toxicity products at the correct timing of vulnerable insect stages is the basis for our spray treatment programs. Practicing within the new cosmetic pesticide bylaws in each area proved less of a challenge at Shady Lane because we were already using the most environmentally friendly product and method for each particular insect or disease.

While we recognize that results are paramount, the method of treatment also has a role in the decision process. Therefore, we have use methods other than spraying, such as Maujet injections, pheromone traps, biological products and beneficial insects.
