Hydro Pruning

Pruning trees away from hydro lines is commonly thought of as your municipalities or hydro suppliers' responsibility.  Often this is accurate, but in some instances, it is the responsibility of the homeowner.  Hydro lines that run up the laneway of residential properties in rural areas are actually privately owned.  Therefore the tree pruning is the responsibility of the property owner. These lines take a high level of experience and training to work around. In some instances, a hold-off or shut down of the power can be required.  Our expert staff and office can coordinate any of these requirements with any hydro provider in your area.  These lines can be assessed by our team and we can make the best recommendations for a safe efficient plan of action.   Shady Lane has several IHSA certified line clearing arborists on staff, the appropriate bucket trucks, and safety equipment to clear your properties hydro line.

In more residential areas the lines have plastic covers.   Bell and Rogers, or other communication lines that can run along the rear of the property.  These lines may seem safe to you but they have a considerable amount of risk involved.  Working around these lines can require some additional safety and protocol.  Regardless of your house, hydro lines or tree care needs you can rest assured that we have the equipment, and staff to handle any situation.  Our goal is to keep you safe and your trees happy.  We have been working towards excellence in the field for over 45 years.  So please reach out and give us a call or email if you have any questions or require a quote.
